Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA)

Our small business and non-profit members can apply for the federal government's initiative through online banking. Members should log on to access the CEBA application form, which is available under ‘Account Services’. The application cannot be completed at a branch. 

Qualifying members can access a $40,000 interest-free loan; these funds can be used to cover short-term operating expenses, payroll and other non-deferrable expenses.

Paying off the loan on or before December 31, 2022 will result in loan forgiveness of up to $10,000, or 25 per cent of the original amount.

Eligibility is based on criteria established by the Government of Canada. For example, businesses must be registered in Canada and will need to prove that between $20,000 to $1.5 million was paid in total payroll in 2019.

CRA Direct Deposit Enrolment

Are you applying for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit? Sign up for direct deposit now to ensure that your benefit payments arrive sooner. We encourage you to use direct deposit to avoid delays and to receive your payments faster. Learn more.

These CRA payments can be received through direct deposit:

  • income tax refund
  • Canada child benefit
  • goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit
  • Canada workers benefit
  • related provincial and territorial payments
  • the new Canada Emergency Response Benefit


Financial relief measures - Mortgage and credit cards

Recent weeks have brought unprecedented challenges to our marketplace. We understand the anxiety many Ontarians are feeling right now. If you are a member of our credit union and your income has been reduced because of a COVID-19-related job loss, self-isolation or quarantine, assistance may be offered, including payment deferrals on mortgages. We will evaluate requests on a case-by-case and month-to-month basis to determine respective eligibility.

Reach out to us at mail@icsavings.ca. While our lending team is dealing with a high volume of payment deferral requests, know that our aim is to get back to you as soon as we can. If you have received an email confirmation, you don’t need to call us. We are reviewing your request. 

Collabria credit cards
Collabria Financial, our system’s provider of credit card services, has introduced several new financial relief measures to help qualified credit cardholders affected by COVID-19. These include a reduced interest rate of 10.9% for up to six months. Read more about this and other financial supports here



Branch hours

We have adjusted our hours of operation and will, for the time being, be open:

  • Monday to Friday, from 9:30am to 2pm
  • Saturday – Closed
Please note that no more than two members, and only members, will be in our branch at any time and in-branch service will be restricted to time-sensitive requests only. This decision is to limit the number of interactions among members and with our team, one of the ways we are keeping physical (social) distance. Included in these requests are:

  • an account opening
  • a new Member Card debit card
  • new investments, mutual funds, registered products but not GIC renewals
  • wire transfers
Please call ahead to speak to your branch team to set an appointment time for these types of requests, or to discuss any other banking needs. GIC renewals, in particular, can be handled by phone or email. We will work with you to find the best solution, one that can avoid an in-branch visit if possible. Relocation of our Hillcrest Village and Little Italy teams

These two teams have relocated to our Corso Italia and Little Portugal branches, respectively. Both branches will remain closed until further notice. If you usually bank at either location, reach your team at:

Members are asked to visit the branch only if the service they require is essential.

Otherwise, please call your home branch team to let us know how we can help. There’s a lot we can do for you over the phone or by e-mail, and of course, much of your day-to-day banking can be done online, with our mobile app or at our ATMs. We are ready to assist as best as we can.


Branch access

We respectfully ask that members follow the physical distancing guidelines announced by public health authorities. Please do not visit our branch if you:

  • have recently returned from travel outside of Canada and are self-isolating for 14 days.
  • are experiencing flu-like symptoms, cough, fever or difficulty breathing.
  • have had direct contact with someone who has tested positive and is in quarantine.
Additonally, we ask members to:

  • use the hand sanitizer provided upon entry and exit to our branch
  • maintain at least three feet from our counters and at least six between themselves and another member who may be in-branch at the same time.
