About IC Savings
Italian Canadian Savings & Credit Union or IC Savings is a credit union that offers a full range of banking services including mortgages, chequing and savings accounts, and retirement and investment products. Established in 2000, IC Savings opened its first branch in Woodbridge with a focus on personal service, the hallmark of co-operative banking. We became profitable within the first year of operations and have increased our profitablilty ever since. In 2011, we are adding two new branches to the four we have in the Greater Toronto Area, with plans to expand into more neighbourhoods in the near future. The credit union has a membership of 7,700; it manages $350 million in assets and ranks strongly as the 18th largest credit union of the 167 in Ontario. Profits are distributed by the Board of Directors for the benefit of our members, community, and for the growth and strength of the credit union. We are rooted in the Italian community, but our membership is open to everyone who wants a better community banking experience. We know our neighbourhoods because we get involved and we embrace the diversity of our membership. Our approach is simple: 'Better Banking' for our members and the neighbourhoods we serve through excellent rates and friendly personal service.
