Checklist: What’s Needed to Open an Account

 

Before we can begin working together, we need to get to know you better. To open a business account and membership with us, you'll be asked to provide certain documents, depending on the type of business. These are listed below.

 

Sole proprietors

 

  • Registration of Company or Master Business License

  • Sales Permit, where required

  • One piece of federal/provincial government-issued photo ID

  • One additional piece of ID with complete address such as a credit card or utility bill

  • Social insurance number 1 

 

Partnerships: For each partner

 

  • Registration of Company

  • Sales Permit, where required

  • Partnership Agreement, either the original or a certified true copy

  • One piece of federal/provincial government-issued photo ID

  • One additional piece of ID with complete address such as a credit card or utility bill 

  • Social insurance number 1

 

Corporations: For each individual/signatory

 

  • Articles of Incorporation

  • Borrowing By-Law, if required

  • Shareholders Agreement (Beneficial Ownership) and/or the Shareholders Register

  • Company Resolution (Original copy required)

  • Business Identification Number (BIN)

  • T1 Form confirming names of officers

  • Sales Permit, where required

  • F2 Company Trade Name Registration

  • One piece of federal/provincial government-issued photo ID

  • One additional piece of ID with complete address such as a credit card or utility bill 

  • Social insurance number 1
